Summer Fishing

Stripers will school and take refuge in the deeper cooler depths of the lake. During the warmer months we will target stripers with smaller live bait fished on downlines. Jigging artificial baits can also be a blast this time of year to land those deep schooled stripers.

Fall Fishing

As the water temperature drops, the action picks up. Fall striper fishing is intense action all the way through the Thanksgiving holiday. Big Stripers start moving into shallower and cooler water. If you’ve never experienced a school of Striper chasing a Swarm of bait, this is the best time of the year to see that kind of action. Big baits on planer boards and casting to those surfacing stripers can be an intense action packed experience.

Winter Fishing

When December arrives we pack up and head to Cape Charles for some Chesapeake Bay Trophy Rockfish. Bay Trips begin in December and continue into January. 2021 produced 73 Saltwater citations for our clients.

Spring Fishing

Spring is a very fun time to target pre spawn stripers and also a good time to land that big trophy fish of your dreams. As the lake temperatures rise, stripers hit the shallows in search of a big meal before they start their spawning process. Big numbers of fish will show up on the lower end of the lake and large surface feedings can occur. We will be pulling big baits on planer boards and freelines as well as casting to those surfacing stripers this time of year. Hold on and keep your eyes peeled because spring time striper fishing can be intense with multiple hook-ups at once.
